A
native of Washington State, Craig Clyde has been in
television and film most of his adult life.
After a stint as an English teacher, Craig began his
professional media career in radio and television. People
in Utah remember him best as the co-host and Producer
of PM Magazine Utah for a number of years. Craig began
his professional media career in radio and television
in Montana, later moving to Utah. In addition to his
media experience, Craig has appeared in over sixty-five
major films and national television programs for all
the major networks — as well as numerous stage roles.
Film roles include the ABC Circle Films production of
“Evil in Clear River,” “Tripwire” for 20th Century Fox,
“The Witching of Ben Wagner” for the Disney Channel,
the In the Line of Duty Series “Siege At Marion” for
NBC, “Stand-off at Alta View” and “The Mystery of Noah’s
Ark” A co-starring role in ABC television series “Crossroads”
ABC’s “Extreme” “Nothing Lasts Forever” “It Was Him
or Us,” “Touched By An Angel” “Promised Land” for CBS
“Truth or Consequences N.M.” for director/actor Keifer
Sutherland and was featured in the CBS miniseries "Perfect
Murder, Perfect Town." He is a member of both Actor’s
Equity and the Screen Actor’s Guilde. He has been nominated
for an IRIS award from the National Association of Television
Producers and Executives.
In 1985 he was nominated for his first Emmy with his
production of "Captain Eddy's Exit" which
he wrote, directed, and scored. He was nominated again
in 1989 for "Nostradamus," a half hour television
special for PM Magazine. Craig later co-formed the film
production company, ,
a Utah-based film partnership. He has won the international
Telly award seven times in the documentary division.
The travel documentary "America the Beautiful,"
narrated by Charlton Heston, won the Grand Jury Award
at the Houston International Film Festival, The Golden
Camera at the Chicago Industrial Film Festival as well
as another Telly Award. Craig is a director who has
written over forty feature film motion picture scripts.
He has directed for both features and television as
well as the eleven films which he has written and directed
for his own company, the most recent "Miracle Dogs"
for Tag Entertainment. In addition, he has directed
dozens of Hollywood stars, including: Mickey Rooney,
Bo Hopkins, Brian Keith, David Bowe, Wilford Brimley,
John Denver, Ernest Borgnine, Stacey Keach, Rue McClanahan,
Scott Baio, Kate Jackson and many more.
Craigs first novel was "Wind Dancer," based
on his original screenplay. His second is "Lady
In Black" a psychological thriller. He is married
and lives with his family in Salt Lake City, Utah.
